Antoinette - Mandarin Gallery

Hi guys! This is going to be the first post on a restaurant in Singapore! Tiff came back to SG to attend a wedding so the 3 of us (Tiff, Loo and I) met up for a lovely lunch plus a very lengthy catch up session (:

Here are some (kind of lousy) photos of the interior of Antoinette:

Lots of ladies!

Opps, unflattering photo of this woman. Haha

Alright, now lets just go straight to the food shall we?

The three of us were famished by the time we got there so we wasted no time ordering. Loo came up with a very systematic way of deciding what to eat and soon, we were ready to order!

I was craving for some breakfast so we ordered......................Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon!!! (Our all time favourite!)

I'm sorry my pictures look abit grainy and weird - The lighting in the restaurant was quite dim so my photos weren't very clear! So anyway, I thought the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were really tasty, and the toast was delicious - crispy yet soft, if you know what I mean. I would definitely go back there for this dish. YUM!

We also ordered a savory pancake - Fluffy pancakes with mushroom ragout and bacon.

This dish was just average. The mushroom ragout was kind of non-existent. The sauce was thin, very liquid and quite tasteless! I guess we expected something rich and creamy, so we were all quite disappointed at how it turned out to be like. Nevertheless, the pancakes were nice!

We ordered another dish - Crepe with paris ham and sunny side up but, I'm so sorry to tell you guys that I forgot to snap a photo of it!!! Urgh!!! I'm so so sorry! I think I was too engrossed in the conversation (and the actual eating of the food), that's why I forgot to take a photo of the crepe!!! :(
But I have to say that the crepe was nice, it was filled with paris ham (salty the way I like it), served with a beautiful sunny side up in the middle and a generous amount of green salad scattered on top.

Oh yes, we ordered lattes as well and we really enjoyed it!

After our meal, we all felt that we still had space in our tummies for dessert, so we went on to order 2 desserts!!!

This is Violette, what a pretty name!

I was very intrigued by it's description so I couldn't wait to try it. It had a really unique flowery taste which was very pleasant, but I didn't like the texture of the cake because it was quite dry and hard.

I preferred the next dessert - Mont Blanc, doesn't it look very interesting?

It's basically some kind of almond tart and it was good. Impossible for 1 person to finish but great for sharing!

So after consuming three main courses and two desserts, we left Antoinette with exploding tummies.

Pretty ladies! Really look forward to hanging out in SG again! (:
